Although she expressed support for the program, she claimed to

• Sarah Palin has been one of the front-line supporters
for the prescription drug monitoring program which requires the
pharmacies to register the prescriptions mentioning abuse-prone
drugs.
• Sarah Palin is of the opinion that there should be more
competition in this sector as it would not only lead to more
choices but would also make medicines more affordable to common
people. This would not only make the sector business driven but
would also leave less room for litigation.
• Being a firm believer in nature, Sarah Palin is against
the use of medicines in general as she holds the opinion that it
is the individual who is responsible for his health and therefore
