• Sarah Palin is of the opinion that the market of
prescription drugs is controlled to a great extent by Government
regulations which should be relaxed and made more flexible.
According to her, this would lead to the growth of competition in
the sector which in turn would help to control prices of
prescription drugs.

• Mike Huckabee is strictly against the proposal of
allowing Americans to buy drugs from other developed countries at
a lower cost because he says this would make it difficult for the
law to identify the source of fraudulent medicines which may
prove to be harmful instead of beneficial. According to him it
would also lead to a compromise on the high standards maintained
by American pharmacies.
